The year of the elopement and small wedding | Cumberland and Deep Creek Wedding Photographer

Wedding

2020, dude. What started as a bomb ass year spiraled into an explosion and ended with a WTF was that feeling. With so many ups and downs, you bet I was living every moment of each special day I got to capture last year. Kicking off my wedding season last May with a childhood friend gave me the emotional boost and creative juice I needed in the depressing pandemic world.

Sarah and Justine decided to have the most intimate wedding day. It was part of their plan to elope at sunrise at Cooper’s Rock, but instead of a full garden party with friends and family, they celebrated with their parents, mimosas, and quiche. It was incredibly perfect and one of the most moving weddings I’ve been to. Then again, I was up at 3 a.m. to get there, and we all know how much I hate mornings. Nevertheless, emotions were high in the positive, magical way! These two are such a beautiful couple, inside and out. Their photos speak volumes of the love they have for one another and the life they share.

Relationship and wedding goals…. right here… ????

Sage advice from the couple:
Facebook Live was a really cool way to share our day. Keep it simple and make focus about you and your partner. Family and friends will understand if you choose to have a more intimate wedding. We still hope to have a big party to celebrate our love and it will be so worth it!
